DescriptionXanthosine 5-triphosphate, also known as 5'-XTP or xanthosine triphosphoric acid, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as purine ribonucleoside triphosphates. These are purine ribobucleotides with a triphosphate group linked to the ribose moiety. Xanthosine 5-triphosphate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Xanthosine 5-triphosphate exists in all living organisms, ranging from bacteria to humans.
