Descriptiontrans-4-Hydroxycyclohexylacetic acid, also known as 4-hydroxycyclohexyl acetate, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cyclohexanols. Cyclohexanols are compounds containing an alcohol group attached to a cyclohexane ring. trans-4-Hydroxycyclohexylacetic acid, with regard to humans, has been linked to the inborn metabolic disorder hawkinsinuria. Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on trans-4-Hydroxycyclohexylacetic acid.
