Inositol phosphates are compounds containing a phosphate group attached to an inositol (or cyclohexanehexol) moiety. Inositol phosphate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). In cattle, inositol phosphate is involved in the metabolic pathway called the inositol phosphate metabolism pathway.
