These are alpha amino acids which have the L-configuration of the alpha-carbon atom (2E)-Decenoyl-ACP is a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa). A non-proteinogenic alpha-amino acid that is cyclopentane substituted at position 1 by amino and carboxy groups.
