Thus, 2-hexaprenyl-6-methoxyphenol is considered to be a quinone lipid molecule. 2-Hexaprenyl-6-methoxyphenol is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. 2-Hexaprenyl-6-methoxyphenol exists in all eukaryotes, ranging from yeast to humans. In cattle, 2-hexaprenyl-6-methoxyphenol is involved in the metabolic pathway called ubiquinone biosynthesis pathway. |
